Schrader Announces 2017 Training Numbers

Schrader Academy LogoAt Schrader, we invest heavily in the education and training efforts of our customers. In 2017 alone, we trained 4,198 individuals and held 183 specialized training events focused around the proper maintenance and replacement of TPMS sensors. Schrader plans to continue propelling its training efforts forward in 2018.

Schrader conveniently delivers multiple training platforms in order to offer our educational services to a diverse range of customers. In addition to our in-person, TIA certified instructor-led sessions, Schrader offers video-based training on our YouTube channel, Schrader Innovation. The In the Bay with Schrader series walks through step-by-step detail of multiple TPMS services. Schrader also introduced “Schrader Shorts” in 2017, which are quick training videos under 2 minutes. Schrader Shorts cover everything from TPMS services, to how to talk to customers, to the importance of winter wheels. These topics can be used in technician training but also used by shops to educate drivers. In addition, we also consistently posts TPMS related information on our Facebook page.

Now, Schrader also offers webinars as another training platform. Hosting 4 well-attended sessions in 2017, Schrader has been able to ensure that any concerns unique to a specific customer are addressed. Through our various computer-based information and training, Schrader is able to cover all facets of TPMS service and repair when it is convenient for the customer. Training topics include profitability, sensor and service pack replacement, operational best practices, in-store consumer awareness as well as many other essential TPMS-related topics. Even more recently, we have launched a new website, www.schradertpms.com, with a large focus on driver education.

TPMS is a safety feature that must consistently be serviced and maintained the way it was designed. Education and training, and using quality products, is the only way to guarantee safe practices in any TPMS program. As the leading OE TPMS manufacturer in the industry, Schrader is committed to leading TPMS training and education initiatives in North America and throughout the globe.
